As we grow, we are looking for a motivated Software Sales/Marketing Intern to join our team. Role Overview

As a Software Sales/Marketing Intern, you’ll play a key role in helping us grow our client base and increase sales of our pre-made software products. You’ll be responsible for reaching out to potential clients, making pitches, handling inbound inquiries, and supporting the sales cycle from start to finish. You should be driven, personable, and ready to represent Exceat Lab to potential clients, with an ability to travel when needed for client visits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Outreach & Pitching: Reach out to prospective clients, make sales calls, and present our software solutions in a clear and compelling way to close deals.
  • Sales Presentations: Assist in preparing and delivering presentations tailored to client needs, demonstrating the value of our software products.
  • Client Visits & Travel: Be willing to travel for in-person client visits, building relationships and closing sales on-site.
  • Phone & Email Management: Answer inbound sales inquiries, respond to client emails, and maintain clear and professional communication throughout the sales process.
  • Sales Reporting: Track sales activities, monitor leads, and report progress to the team regularly.
  • Collaboration with Marketing Team: Work closely with our marketing team to support campaigns, content creation, and strategies aimed at increasing lead generation and sales.
  • Market Research: Assist in conducting market research to identify new potential clients and sales opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Communication Skills English & Sinhala: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively pitch software solutions to potential clients.
  • Self-Motivated & Goal-Oriented: Must have a proactive attitude, be results-driven, and enjoy setting and achieving sales targets.
  • Sales or Marketing Experience (Preferred, but not required): Any prior experience in sales, marketing, or customer-facing roles is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right candidate.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with technology and an understanding of software products is a plus.
  • Willingness to Travel: Must be comfortable traveling for client visits, with flexibility in scheduling.
  • Positive Attitude: A friendly, outgoing personality and the ability to build rapport with clients quickly.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and sales leads effectively.
  • Degree/HND/Diploma in Marketing/Sales or any relevant field
