CHIEF MEDICAL OFFICER 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES 

• Ensure allocation and assignment of Medical Offcers in order to facilitate the smooth flow of medical functions across the hospital. 
• Assist the Medical Director in day-to-day operational activities and other concerns related to Medical Offcers. 
• Monitor overtime and leave management of Medical Officers. 
• Conduct interviews of medical staff and assure their credentials. 
• Assist performance management and appraisals Of Medical Officers and review the activities of the medical staff in accordance with ethical standards and the overall policies of the Hopital.
• Assist continuing professional education, in-service training. and conduct orientation to Medical Officers.
• Schedule interdisciplinary meetings with medical and support staff to assure delivery of quality patient care. 
• Participate in the development of short and long-term strategic and tactical planning. 
• Represent Hospital/Medical Department at meetings, conferences and other related functions.

Consistently communicate the goals and objectives of the Hospitals medical Officers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE 

• MBBS. 
• Sri Lanka Medical Council Registration. 
• Minimum of 10 years of previous experience in clinical practice of medicine. 
• Previous experience in a leadership role will be an added advantage. 
• Preferred age limit is between 40-50 years. 

MEDICAL OFFICER 
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED 

• MBBS with SLMC registration. 
• Minimum of 2-03 years post-intern experience in a recognized hospital. 
• Energetic, enthusiastic and dedicated to patient care.
