Calling for applications for the post of Vice-Chancellor at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka
The application should consist of the following documents.
(i) Full identity card of the applicant including date of birth
(ii) A personal vision statement for the development of the University of Colombo and a brief description of what the candidate proposes to achieve if appointed to the position.
(iii) If the applicant is the current Vice-Chancellor or has previously held the post of Vice-Chancellor of this University, in addition to the documents mentioned in paragraphs (i) and (ii) above, a report highlighting his/her achievements during his/her first tenure.
(iv) If the applicant is employed outside the University of Colombo in the public service, a corporation, a statutory body, a higher education institution, a letter from the employer stating that if the applicant is selected for this position, he/she may be released from service.
(V) Candidates applying for the post of Vice-Chancellor will be called for evaluation and interview at a special Governing Body meeting. During this evaluation, candidates must make a short presentation of not less than ten (10) minutes, but not more than fifteen (15) minutes.
