Orient Insurance Sri Lanka is a wholly owned subsidiary of Orient Insurance PJSC headquartered in the United Arab Emirates. Orient Insurance PJSC is rated 'A' by Standard & Poor's and A (Excellent) by AM Best.
The company opened its doors to the nation on 01st December 2011 by being licensed by the Sri Lankan regulator to offer all classes of general insurance. This includes motor, marine, property, liability, medical and a range of other insurance products. 
Orient Insurance Sri Lanka and Orient Insurance PJSC, UAE belong to the Al-Futtaim Group UAE, one of the most diversified business conglomerates headquartered in the United Arab Emirates and operating since the 1930s.
