Japan (JDS) Masters Scholarships for Public Sector Officers 2027

Applications are invited from Eligible Sri Lankans for Masters Degree Scholarships at Japanese Universities (Academic Year 2027/2028) – The Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship by Japanese Grant Aid (JDS) in Sri Lanka (2026)

• Scholarship Programme – Mastes Degree
• No of Scholarships: 15

Eligibility

• To be citizens of Sri Lankа
• Should have a good command of both written and spoken English
• Below the age 40, as of April 15st 2027
• “Executives / Senior Executives”. who are mentioned in the Public Administration Circular No. 06/2006, Annexure II, Page 2, IV Senior Level, and page 5, 3.10 & 3.11
• Officials belonging to the Sri Lanka All-Island Services (as per PSC rules No.2310/29 dated 14.12.2022) and Sri Lanka Foreign Service who have successfully completed their probation period and been confirmed in service are eligible.
• Officials who are in managerial positions or function from Central Bank of Sri Lanka.

Fields & Universities: Priority areas include Public Policy Studies, International Relations and International Development, Macroeconomics Studies, Public Finance and Investment Management, Industry Development Policy and Investment Promotion.
